Marketing & Creative

Marketing, advertising, media, and creative services. Project-based and talent-dependent — a more challenging acquisition category.

We analysed 124,215 UK Marketing & Creative companies. 1,609 score 70+ for exit readiness.

Why Marketing & Creative?

UK marketing, media, and creative services businesses — advertising agencies, PR firms, digital agencies, photography practices, and media production companies — generate revenue from project-based engagements, retained accounts, and content production. We analysed 118,572 active UK companies in this category and 1,067 score 70 or higher on ExitRadar's exit readiness model. The sector is significantly more challenging to acquire than route-based services or recurring-revenue technology businesses: revenue is typically project-led rather than contracted, talent dependency is high, and brand equity often attaches to founders rather than the firm. Exit-ready candidates tend to be established practices with retained client books, multi-discipline capability, and senior teams that operate beyond the founder.
